The internet is stuffed with endless lists of useless products. We think it needs a thoughtful filter. Quirky Guide is a family-run project with real people poking around online and hand-picking treasures that are useful, unusual and things we’d actually want in our own lives. No endless junk, no AI, no algorithms, no clickbait.

Because the best finds are curated, not generated.

Behind the scenes we’re a family of four with all sorts of interests. Our two teenage boys keep us sharp with their love of gaming, classical music, computers and maths. Mum is a dog lover/caring professional who once worked as a Lonely Planet author and editor, bringing years of experience in travel writing to the mix. Dad is a pixel pusher, artist and all-round nosy tinkerer. Together we balance curiosity with care so every pick feels a little more personal.

Any proceeds we make from Quirky Guide go straight into family memories, whether that’s a takeaway on a Friday night, a trip to the cinema or the occasional short getaway.
